The National Corvette Museum embarked on one of the most exciting and significant expansion projects in the nearly 20-year history of the Museum when on June 28, 2013 it broke ground on a 184 acre Motorsports Park. The $20 million, dual-track attraction will provide motorsports enthusiasts with a new favorite destination. The two circuits, East and West can be combined into multiple configurations ranging from a high speed loop of 1.96 miles to an extended 3.15 mile technical course.

LIKE A MID-'60'S 427 SOCK ENGINE ALL THE WAY UP TO THE HILBORN INJECTION. NEXT WAS A '64 PONTIAC GTO THAT CAME OUT OF THE HOT CHASSIS AND CYCLE CAMP. NOW ROUSH PERFORMANCE EVEN GOT A PIECE OF THE PIE BY BUILDING A STAGE THREE MUSTANG WITH A FIVEO ALUMINATOR AND THEIR SUPERCHARGER. LAST YEAR ADDICTIVE DESERT DESIGNS WERE IN THE SPOT LIGHT TO BUILD A WICKED 2014 TOYOTA TUNDRA
PRERUNNER THAT WAS WORTHY OF COMPETITION RACING. THIS CAMARO IS THE FIRST CHEVROLET FOR THE SWEEPSTAKES, SO IT HAD TO SPEAK FOR ITSELF, AND IT DOES WITH A 415 CUBIC INCH LS THREE FILLED WITH LUNATI INTERNALS AND AN SLP SUPERCHARGER ALL CONTROLLED BY AN E-3080-CM. NOW IT'S ALL NESTLED IN THE SMOOTHED OUT ENGINE BAY ANYONE WOULD BE PROUD TO CALL THEIR OWN. INSIDE THE COCKPIT IS A CUSTOM INTERIOR DESIGNED BY SCHWARTZ. NOW TMI SUPPLIED THE UPHOLSTERY FOR THE BUILD FROM THE SEATS ALL THE WAY UP TO THE DASH. AN I DID IT COLUMN CONNECTS YOU TO THE ROAD, AND ALL THE ENGINE VITALS ARE DISPLAYED ON DAKOTA DIGITAL GAUGES. HAVING A GMACHINE THEME MEANS IT'S GOTTA HAVE
ROLLERS THAT FIT THE BILL. SO FORGELINE RBTHREEC CONCAVE WHEELS WERE ON THE BUILD LIST. THEY'RE WRAPPED IN WIDE MICHELINS FOR GOOD TRACTION.. HERE'S YOUR FYI, THE CAR'S BURNING 93 OCTANE FUEL. THE SLP BLOWER MAKES EIGHT POUNDS OF BOOST, AND IT'S GOT A SIX SPEED MAGNUM TRANS. SO WE'RE MAKING THE PULL IN FOURTH GEAR, WHICH IS A ONE TO ONE RATIO. 559 HORSEPOWER, 577 FOOT POUNDS OF TORQUE, NOW WE KNOW HOW MUCH GRUNT SHE'S PACKING. CHECK OUT THE HARDWARE UNDERNEATH. (JEFF)>> WELL IT'S QUITE AN HONOR. LAST YEAR WE WON THE CARCRAFT PRO BUILDER OF THE YEAR COMPETITION, AND THEN WE ALSO WON THE MUSCLE CAR OF THE YEAR WITH POPULAR HOT RODDING. SO THAT MAY HAVE HAD SOME EFFECT ON US BEING SELECTED TO BUILD THIS WONDERFUL PROJECT.
(MIKE)>> IT WAS FAR FROM WONDERFUL WHEN IT STARTED.
HE AND HIS TEAM SPENT NINE MONTHS ON THIS TRANSFORMATION. JEFF'S STANDARDS ARE HIGH. HE NEEDED THE PERFECT SHOWCASE FOR THE HEART OF THIS PROJECT.
(JEFF)>> THIS FAMILY OF CHASSIS, THEY'RE FULL FRAMED FOR UNIBODY CARS. DON'T REQUIRE CUTTING OUT OF THE EXISTING FLOOR OR UNIBODY STRUCTURE TO ENHANCE THE OVERALL STRENGTH OF THE VEHICLE.
THEIR SHOCK ABSORBERS ARE 16.5 INCHES LONG, WHICH OFFERS A LOT MORE TRAVEL. OUR SUSPENSION IS TUBULAR IN NATURE, AND THOSE CONTROL ARMS AND COMPONENTS ARE LIGHTER THAN PRODUCTION PIECES. OUR REAR SUSPENSION IS A TRIANGULATED FOUR LINK

AFTER THE PLAYSTATION CHICANES DOWN THE MULSANNE STRAIGHT AT LE MANS. FIRST TURN AT THE END OF THE STRAIGHTAWAY REPLICATES THE MULSANNE CORNER AT LE MANS. THE CORNERS AFTER THAT REPLICATE THE PORSCHE CURVES AT LE MANS. THE TRACK ITSELF IS LOCATED SIX MILES FROM
100 RESTAURANTS AND 3,000 HOTEL ROOMS.
SO IT DOES CREATE A LOT OF OPPORTUNITY FOR US.

HE AND HIS TEAM SPENT NINE MONTHS ON THIS TRANSFORMATION. JEFF'S STANDARDS ARE HIGH. HE NEEDED THE PERFECT SHOWCASE FOR THE HEART OF THIS PROJECT.

AFTER THE PLAYSTATION CHICANES DOWN THE MULSANNE STRAIGHT AT LE MANS. FIRST TURN AT THE END OF THE STRAIGHTAWAY REPLICATES THE MULSANNE CORNER AT LE MANS. THE CORNERS AFTER THAT REPLICATE THE PORSCHE CURVES AT LE MANS. THE TRACK ITSELF IS LOCATED SIX MILES FROM
100 RESTAURANTS AND 3,000 HOTEL ROOMS.
SO IT DOES CREATE A LOT OF OPPORTUNITY FOR US.

THE NEW REDESIGNED TAIL LIGHTS REST IN THE BUCKETS AND THE TWO FASTENERS SECURE THEM AT THE TOP. THE NEW BUMPER SUPPORTS GET RIVETED IN TO HOUSE THE NEW BUMPER COVER.

(JUDD)>> PAT WHAT WE'RE GONNA DO HERE IS CHANGE THROTTLE BODIES FROM A 2013 CLASSIFICATION TO A 2014 CLASSIFICATION. WHAT CHEVROLET DID WAS THE 2013 HERE WAS A 102 MILLIMETER THROTTLE BODY. THE 2014 RIGHT HERE IS A SMALLER 90 MILLIMETER BODY.

AND THE CLASSES ARE SET UP BY HOW MUCH HORSEPOWER AND HOW MUCH THE CAR WEIGHS. SO BY CHANGING THE THROTTLE BODY WE START OVER IN CLASSIFICATION.
