(ANNOUNCER)>> TODAY WE'RE STARTING PROJECT WILD FRONTIER. WE'RE TAKING MIKE GALLEY'S NISSAN DAILY DRIVER AND BEGINNING THE PROCESS OF TURNING IT INTO A DUAL PURPOSE STREET AND BACK WOODS HUNTING RIG. WE'LL START BY ADDING A SIX INCH LIFT, SOME NEW GEARS, AND 35 INCH TALL WHEELS AND TIRES. IT'S ALL TODAY HERE ON TRUCK TECH.

(RYAN)>> HEY GUYS, WELCOME TO TRUCK TECH. WELL TODAY WE'VE GOT AN '07 NISSAN FRONTIER IN THE SHOP THAT WE'RE OBVIOUSLY GONNA DO A

LITTLE BIT OF WORK TO. NOW THIS TRUCK IS ACTUALLY OWNED BY MIKE GALLEY, THE COHOST OF ENGINE POWER. AND FOR THE LAST HANDFUL OF YEARS HE'S BEEN RACKING UP MILES ON THIS THING AS HIS DAILY DRIVER. BUT IN ADDITION TO THAT, HE USES IT ON THE WEEKENDS TO GET UP INTO THE WOODS BECAUSE HE'S AN AVID HUNTER.

(MIKE)>> YOU KNOW RYAN, THE TRUCK DOES

SURPRISINGLY WELL IN STOCK TRIM. NOW IT'S GOT 240,000 MILES ON IT, AND I KINDA DRIVE IT LIKE A SPORTS CAR WITH THE SIX SPEED TRANSMISSION. NOW WITH THE STYLE OF HUNTING I LIKE TO DO AND

THE TRIPS I'M GONNA BE TAKING THIS YEAR, I WANT SOME MORE GROUND CLEARANCE AND I WANT TO OUTFIT IT FOR MY STYLE. SO I CAME IN LAST NIGHT, RIPPED OUT ALL THE FRONT

SUSPENSION, DRIVESHAFTS, TO GIVE YOU GUYS A HEAD START, AND I KNOW IT'S IN GOOD HANDS.

(RYAN)>> COOL, WE'VE GOT SOME WORK TO DO. NOW TO GIVE THIS FOUR DOOR FRONTIER THE GROUND CLEARANCE MIKE IS AFTER WE PICKED UP A SIX INCH SUSPENSION LIFT FROM FAB TECH. NOW THE KIT INCLUDES HEAVY DUTY STEERING KNUCKLES, SHOCK EXTENDERS, REPLACEMENT TIE ROD ENDS, LIFT BLOCKS AND UBOLTS, HEAVY DUTY DROP DOWN CROSS MEMBERS, AND SOME IMPACT OR SUPPORT TUBES. WE ALSO PICKED UP A COUPLE OF FAB TECH SHOCKS TO FINISH OUT THE REAR SUSPENSION.

AND SINCE MIKE'S GOT THE TRUCK STRIPPED DOWN FOR US ALREADY, STEP ONE FOR US IS INSTALLING THESE CROSS MEMBERS.

NOW SINCE MIKE ALREADY HAS THE FRONT SUSPENSION COMPLETELY REMOVED, THE FIRST STEP FOR US IS MAKING A FEW CUTS AND REMOVING SOME METAL WHERE THE FACTORY CROSS MEMBER ATTACHES. TO DO THAT I'M USING A 40 THOUSANDTHS THICK CUTOFF WHEEL ON A FOUR AND A HALF INCH MATCO ANGLE GRINDER. THEN TO MAKE SURE NOBODY BLEEDS DURING THIS PROJECT I'M KNOCKING OFF THE SHARP EDGES WITH A FLAT WHEEL. YOU CAN ALSO GET THIS DONE WITH A TORCH, PLASMA CUTTER, OR A SAWZALL, THIS IS JUST OUR PREFERRED METHOD. AND SINCE RUST IS THE ENEMY OF VEHICLES, WE'RE HITTING THE BARE METAL WITH SOME DUPLICOLOR SPRAY PAINT. ONCE THE PAINT DRIES WE CAN BEGIN INSTALLING NEW PARTS, STARTING WITH THE FRONT HEAVY DUTY DROP DOWN CROSS MEMBER, WHICH IS MADE A LITTLE BIT EASIER WITH A SECOND SET OF HANDS.

WITH THE FRONT CROSS MEMBER LOOSELY BOLTED INTO POSITION, WE CAN INSTALL THE PREVIOUSLY REMOVED FRONT AXLE, OR DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLY. AND WITH A BOLT INSTALLED IN THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL MOUNT, WE CAN ROLL THE DIFFERENTIAL UP AND SUPPORT IT WITH A RATCHET STRAP, AND INSTALL THE REAR DROP DOWN CROSS MEMBER.

AND LOOSELY BOLT IT INTO POSITION. THEN YOU CAN REMOVE THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL MOUNT AND INSTALL THE SUPPLIED SKID PLATE. IT'S GOOD TO HAVE A CHUNK OF STEEL PROTECTING ALL THAT ALUMINUM. NOW LIKE WE MENTIONED EARLIER, THIS TRUCK'S BEEN IN USE FOR ALMOST A QUARTER OF A MILLION MILES.

SO IN ADDITION TO DOING THE SUSPENSION LIFT, WE'RE

ALSO TAKING THE OPPORTUNITY TO FRESHEN UP THE SUSPENSION. SO WE WENT TO AUTOZONE AND PICKED UP SOME NEW FACTORY REPLACEMENT UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS WITH NEW BUSHINGS AND BALL JOINTS. WE ALSO PICKED UP A COUPLE OF NEW UNIT BEARINGS, OR HUB ASSEMBLIES, TO MAKE SURE THIS THING'S GOOD TO

GO FOR A BUNCH MORE MILES. NOW REPLACING THESE CONTROL ARMS WASN'T A NECESSITY, BUT IT MAKES SINCE BECAUSE THE TRUCK

WAS ALREADY DISASSEMBLED. AND ACTUALLY THE BUSHINGS AND BALL JOINTS IN THE ORIGINAL ARMS WEREN'T IN TERRIBLE SHAPE. BUT SINCE WE'RE GONNA BE ADDING LARGER AND HEAVIER TIRES AND WHEELS, WE FIGURED WE'D PLAY IT SAFE

AND INSTALL NEW PARTS. AND SINCE IT'S A RUBBER BUSHING, WE'RE GONNA LEAVE THEM LOOSE UNTIL WE GET THE WEIGHT ON THE VEHICLE SO WE DON'T PRELOAD AND STRESS THE BUSHING. NOW BEFORE WE REINSTALL THE FACTORY COIL OVER SHOCK, WE'VE GOT TO ADD A FEW PARTS THAT PROVIDE THE ACTUAL LIFT, LIKE THE SHOCK EXTENSION BRACKET THAT REUSES THE ORIGINAL RUBBER SHOCK BUSHING. THEN WE CAN INSTALL THE PROVIDED ALUMINUM SHOCK BUSHINGS, WHICH PROVIDE A SOLID MOUNTING LOCATION FOR THE EXTENSION BRACKET. WITH THAT DONE YOU CAN INSTALL THE RUBBER BUSHING INTO THE EXTENSION BRACKET.

A LITTLE BIT OF SPRAY LUBRICANT MAKES THINGS A LITTLE BIT EASIER. OH SHOOT, I WAS GONNA USE MY MAN PRESS.

THAT WAS EASY.

THEN WE CAN ATTACH THE BRACKET TO THE SHOCK USING

THE PROVIDED HARDWARE. WHAT'S NICE ABOUT THIS KIT IS YOU CAN REUSE YOUR EXISTING SHOCKS, WHICH IS ESPECIALLY HELPFUL IF YOU'VE ALREADY INVESTED IN AFTERMARKET DAMPERS. THEN ONCE THE BRACKET'S CLAMPED INTO PLACE, YOU CAN TIGHTEN DOWN THE FIVESIXTEENTHS HARDWARE AND TORQUE IT TO SPEC, WHICH IN OUR CASE WAS BETWEEN 15 AND 20 FOOT POUNDS. THEN YOU CAN REINSTALL THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY.

[ drill spinning ]

(ANNOUNCER)>> AFTER THE BREAK WE'LL GET THE FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION FINISHED UP. AND LATER WE'LL GET IT ROLLING ON ALL NEW RUBBER, STAY TUNED!

(RYAN)>> HEY GUYS, WELCOME BACK TO THE SHOP. WELL WITH THE MORE COMPLICATED AND TIME

CONSUMING INDEPENDENT FRONT SUSPENSION MODIFIED, WE CAN MOVE ON TO THE REAR. IT'S A LITTLE BIT MORE STRAIGHT FORWARD. IT'S ESSENTIALLY LIFT BLOCKS, LONGER SHOCKS, AND A FEW RELOCATION BRACKETS. AND SINCE OUR SIX INCH LIFT KIT IS GONNA MAKE ROOM FOR SOME 35 INCH TIRES, WE WENT AHEAD AND REGEARED THE FACTORY REAR AXLE TO 4.11'S. THEY'LL BE A GOOD MATCH FOR THE TIRES, FAIRLY POTENT VSIX UNDER THE HOOD, AND THE SIX SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. THE REAR AXLE IS A VARIANT OF THE POPULAR DANA 44.

NISSAN CALLS IT THE M-226. AND WHILE IT'S A VARIANT, WELL THERE'S NOT MUCH THAT INTERCHANGES WITH THE STANDARD DANA 44 AXLE. IN FACT THERE'S ONLY A FEW PLACES THAT EVEN SELL

AFTERMARKET GEARS FOR THIS THING. OURS CAME FROM RUGGED ROCKS. THEY PROVIDED COMPLETE GEAR SETS AND COMPLETE INSTALLATION KITS FOR THE FRONT AND REAR. WE'VE GOT A RING GEAR BOLTED TO AN AIR LOCKER.

SO WE'VE GOT AN OPEN DIFF ON THE STREET AND A LOCKING DIFF TO GET US FURTHER INTO THE WOODS.

LIFT THEM ON! NOW IN COMPARISON TO THE INDEPENDENT FRONT SUSPENSION, THE REAR IS A PIECE OF CAKE. YOU CAN GET IT DONE RATHER QUICKLY. IT'S BLOCKS AND NEW UBOLTS, AND SOME SHOCKS TO FINISH UP THE REAR SUSPENSION.

AND THE COOL THING ABOUT IT IS IT RETAINS THE STOCK LEAF PACK. SO YOUR RIDE QUALITY WILL VIRTUALLY BE UNAFFECTED.

AND SINCE WE'RE GONNA BE SLOWING DOWN HEAVIER 35 INCH TALL TIRES WE'RE DOING A BRAKE UPGRADE AS WELL. THIS IS A POWERSTOP BRAKES ONE CLICK BRAKE KIT THAT

INCLUDES DRILLED AND SLOTTED ROTORS AND SOME NEW PADS. NOW FINISHING UP THIS M-226 REAR AXLE IS A HEAVY DUTY ARB DIFF COVER. RATHER THAN THE BRIGHT RED WE OPTED FOR THE BLACK. NOW WE INSTALL A LOT OF THESE HEAVY DUTY COVERS ON A LOT OF OUR FOUR WHEEL DRIVE PROJECTS. MAINLY TO PROTECT THE KINDA EXPENSIVE COMPONENTS

INSIDE, BUT THERE'S A SECONDARY BENEFIT. THIS IS JUST A STAMPED STEEL COVER THAT HELPED RETAIN THE GEAR LUBE, WHERE THIS HAS SUPPORTS AND BRACING THAT ACTUALLY ADDS RIGIDITY TO THE ENTIRE AXLE HOUSING, HELPING PROTECT AND PRESERVE THE LIFE OF THE COMPONENTS INSIDE, WHICH IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT IF YOU'RE RUNNING LARGER TIRES AND WHEELS.

BACK ON THE FRONT SUSPENSION WE'VE GOT A FEW

PARTS TO INSTALL TO FINISH THINGS UP, STARTING WITH THE BUMP STOP EXTENSION BRACKET. AFTER TEMPORARILY BOLTING IT IN PLACE WE MARKED THE

HOLE THAT NEEDS TO BE DRILLED IN THE ORIGINAL BUMP STOP PAD. THEN WE CAN REINSTALL THE BRACKET. AND TO SECURE IT THE KIT INCLUDES THIS PROBLEM SOLVING NUT ON A HOOK SO WE CAN BOLT IT TO THE BUMP STOCK PAD. A LITTLE BIT OF A DANCE. ONCE YOU GET IT STARTED, WE'RE GOOD GO. AND SINCE THE BRAKE CALIPERS ARE NOW GONNA BE SITTING SIX INCHES FARTHER AWAY FROM THE FRAME, WE NEED TO WORK ON THE BRAKE LINE LOCATION, STARTING WITH REMOVING THE BRAKE LINE RETAINER AND CUTTING A SLOT IN THE RETAINING TAB AND RELEASING

THE BRAKE LINE. THIS WILL ALLOW US TO BEND DOWN THE HARD LINE A LITTLE BIT AND RELOCATE THE RETAINER FARTHER DOWN ON THE FRAME. THE KIT PROVIDES ALL THE HARDWARE TO FACILITATE THIS MODIFICATION, AND ALLOWS YOU TO RETAIN YOUR STOCK BRAKE LINES. THEN SIMPLY TIGHTEN DOWN THE HARDWARE AND MOVE ONTO THE C/V SHAFTS, WHICH TAKE A COUPLE OF SLIGHT HITS FROM A RUBBER MALLET TO FULLY SEAT THEM. AND GETTING THE NEW TALLER SPINDLE ATTACHED TO THE LOWER CONTROL ARM CAN BE A BIT OF A FIGHT. TRY HITTING THE BALL JOINT, YEAH, NOW IT STARTED. THAT ACTUALLY WORKED. THERE WE GO. COOL, THANK YOU SIR, THAT WAS EASY. A LITTLE LOCTITE ANTISEIZE MAKES SURE DISASSEMBLY IN THE FUTURE DOESN'T INVOLVE A BLOW TORCH. HERE WE GO, ALRIGHT, KEEPS IT FROM POPPING OUT. ALRIGHT, COOL!

[ hammer banging ]

(RYAN)>> THEN WE CAN ATTACH THE COIL OVER SHOCK EXTENSION BRACKET TO THE LOWER CONTROL ARM AND SECURE IT USING THE ORIGINAL HARDWARE. THEN WE CAN SWING THE SPINDLE UP INTO POSITION AND ATTACH IT TO THE UPPER CONTROL ARM. THEN WE TEMPORARILY INSTALLED THE ORIGINAL TIE ROD ENDS SO WE COULD EASILY REMOVE THE TIE ROD JAMB NUT. THEN WE CAN ADD THE SUPPLIED NEW TIE ROD ENDS, USING THE JAMB NUT LOCATION AS THE STARTING

POINT FOR A ROUGH ALIGNMENT. JUST DON'T FORGET TO TAKE IT TO A SHOP TO HAVE THIS THING DIALED IN.

THEN WE CAN MOVE ON TO SOME OF THE LAST FEW

PIECES, LIKE THE SUPPORT TUBES THAT RUN FROM THE TRANSMISSION CROSS MEMBER TO THE SUSPENSION CROSS MEMBER. IT TIES EVERYTHING TOGETHER MAKING EVERYTHING GOOD AND STRONG.

THEN WE CAN BOLT UP THE DRIVESHAFT.

SECURE THE C/V SHAFTS, AND INSTALL

OUR POWERSTOP ROTORS. NOW IN ADDITION TO THE PADS AND ROTORS, THE ONE CLICK BRAKE KIT INCLUDES HARDWARE TO FRESHEN UP THE CALIPER MOUNT AND SLIDES, WHICH IS A BONUS, ESPECIALLY IF YOUR TRUCK HAS A FEW MILES ON IT.

THE LAST PIECE OF THE PUZZLE IS INSTALLING THE ORIGINAL SWAY BAR END LINKS TO THE SUPPLIED BRACKET.

(ANNOUNCER)>> UP NEXT IT'S ALL NEW 35 INCH TALL WHEELS AND TIRES, STAY WITH US.

(RYAN)>> HEY GUYS, WELCOME BACK TO THE SHOP WHERE WE'RE ABOUT TO THROW SOME NEW RUBBER ON PROJECT WILD FRONTIER, OUR '07 NISSAN HUNTING AND OUTDOOR TRUCK. NOW THE TIRES ARE DICK CEPEK FUN COUNTRIES IN A 315/70 17 SIZE, BASICALLY A 35-12.50. NOW THIS IS A FAIRLY NEW ALL TERRAIN AND A GOOD

MATCH FOR OUR DUAL PURPOSE PROJECT. THE CENTER TREADS ARE TIGHTER TOGETHER FOR A SMOOTHER AND QUIETER RIDE, WHILE THE SHOULDER LUGS

ARE SPACED FARTHER APART TO MAXIMIZE OFF ROAD TRACTION. WITH THE TREAD DESIGN AND THEIR STONE EJECTOR RIBS IT'LL HELP PREVENT PICKING UP SMALL ROCKS OR GRAVEL WHILE DRIVING DOWN A DIRT ROAD. NOTHING'S MORE ANNOYING THAN HITTING THE PAVEMENT AND HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE CLICKETY CLACK OF ROCK STUCK IN THE TREAD. NOW THE WHEELS ARE DICK CEPEK GUN METAL SEVENS, A GOOD MATCH FOR OUR HUNTING THEMED PROJECT. THEY'VE GOT A MACHINED ALUMINUM AND COOL GUN METAL GRAY FINISH PROTECTED IN CLEAR COAT, AND THEY'RE 17 BY EIGHT AND HALVES WITH FIVE AND A HALF INCHES OF BACK SPACING. SO THEY SHOULD FIT OUR LIFTED NISSAN PERFECTLY.

NOW IN ORDER TO FIT THE MAXIMUM RECOMMENDED TIRE SIZE WE MIGHT TO DO A LITTLE BIT OF TRIMMING TO THE REAR OF THE FRONT OEM FLARE.

IT'S NOTHING MAJOR AND IS SOMETHING THAT CAN EASILY BE HANDLED WITH A SMALL RECIPROCATING SAW OR A SHARP UTILITY KNIFE.

(JEREMY)>> IF YOU'VE GOT AN OLD SMALL BLOCK CHEVY VEIGHT WITH VBELTS AND YOU'RE LOOKING TO UPGRADE, CHECK OUT LMC'S SERPENTINE BELT DRIVE SYSTEM. THIS KIT COMES WITH A COMPACT STYLE A/C COMPRESSOR, A 140 AMP ONE WIRE ALTERNATOR, A REVERSE STYLE WATER PUMP, AND A TYPE TWO POWER STEERING PUMP. THE PUMP ALSO COMES WITH THE RESERVOIR AND BRACKET AND HARDWARE FOR MOUNTING. THIS KIT ALSO COMES IN A BLACK ANODIZED. SO IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO UPGRADE OR MODERNIZE THE FRONT OF YOUR CHEVY ENGINE, CHECK OUT LMC TRUCKS. THIS IS MISTER GASKET'S DIESEL ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP. IT'S A SIMPLE 12 VOLT TWO WIRE DESIGN THAT COMES WITH A FILTER AND MOUNTING HARDWARE. THIS CAN BE USED AS A STAND ALONE UNIT OR FOR FUEL TRANSFER, AND IT'S MADE TO PUMP 35 GALLONS PER HOUR. SO IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO TRANSFER FUEL IN YOUR DIESEL, CHECK OUT MISTER GASKET. IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO TRANSFER YOUR SILVERADO OR SIERRA'S FACTORY SOUND SYSTEM, KICKER'S GOT SOMETHING YOU WANT TO CHECK OUT. THEY ACTUALLY MEASURED HE ACOUSTICS IN THE INTERIOR OF THIS TRUCK AND DESIGNED THIS SOUND SYSTEM AROUND IT. AND THE COOL THING IS WHERE THEY MOUNTED IT, LET'S CHECK IT OUT.

THE GREAT THING ABOUT THIS SYSTEM IS YOU DON'T HAVE TO CUT YOUR FACTORY HARNESS. IT'S ALL PLUG AND PLAY. IT COMES WITH A 10 INCH SUBWOOFER IN A SEALED ENCLOSURE WITH A BUILT IN AMPLIFIER. AND IF YOU WANT TO MAXIMIZE THE OUTPUT OF YOUR FACTORY SPEAKERS YOU CAN UPGRADE TO THIS

DIGITAL SOUND PROCESSOR. BUT NO MATTER HOW WELL IT'S DESIGNED OR WHERE IT GOES, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS HOW IT SOUNDS.

[ rock music playing ]

(ANNOUNCER)>> WHEN WE COME BACK IT'S A NEW SET OF FENDER FLARES WITH BETTER COVERAGE FOR OUR BIGGER WHEELS AND TIRES, STICK AROUND!

(JEREMY)>> HEY GUYS, WELCOME BACK TO TRUCK TECH. WITH OUR NEW LIFT KIT, WHEELS, AND TIRES, THIS TRUCK'S REALLY STARTING TO TAKE SHAPE. AND WE WANT TO ADD A LITTLE MORE PROTECTION AND COVERAGE TO THIS FRONTIER BY ADDING A SET OF

BUSHWACKER POCKET STYLE FENDER FLARES. THESE FLARES COME IN AN OEM MATTE BLACK FINISH BUT ARE PAINTABLE. THEY'RE MADE OF A DURABLE WARP RESISTANT PLASTIC AND

COMES WITH ALL THE HARDWARE NEEDED TO INSTALL.

THE FIRST STEP IN THIS PROCESS IS TO REMOVE THE UPPER AND LOWER SCREWS IN THE OE MUD FLAP. THEN WE'LL HIT THE PAINTED SURFACE WITH A LITTLE WAX AND GREASE REMOVER. NOW EVEN THOUGH THERE'S NO DRILLING REQUIRED, THESE FLARES COME WITH STAINLESS BUTTON HEAD FASTENERS. WHILE THEY'RE JUST DECORATIVE THEY GIVE A BOLT ON LOOK.

THEN WE'LL INSTALL THE ADHESIVE BACKED WEATHER STRIP, WHICH WILL PROTECT THE PAINT SURFACE ON THE VEHICLE AND ALSO KEEP THE ROAD GRIME FROM PILING UP INSIDE THE FENDER FLARES. WHAT I LIKE TO DO IS WORK A FEW INCHES AT A TIME BEFORE REMOVING THE ADHESIVE BACKING. IF WE WERE TO REMOVE IT ALL AT ONCE, WE WOULD PROBABLY JUST BE FIGHTING WITH IT THE ENTIRE TIME. AFTER THAT WE'LL POSITION THE FENDER FLARES ON THE TRUCK AND MARK OUR HOLES SO WE'LL KNOW WHERE TO PUT OUR MOUNTING TABS. AND FOR YOU GUYS AT HOME THIS IS A GOOD DRIVEWAY PROJECT BECAUSE IT DOESN'T REQUIRE ANY SPECIAL TOOLS. NOW THESE PADS WILL HELP PROTECT YOUR PAINT. AND FOR YOU GUYS GOING OFF ROAD THROUGH A LOT OF MUD AND WATER, THAT'S ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT TO

HELP PREVENT RUST IN THE FUTURE. AND IF YOU LIVE UP NORTH AND HAVE TO DEAL WITH SALTY ROADS, YOU KNOW HOW IMPORTANT IS NOT TO HAVE

TO DRILL HOLES IN YOUR TRUCK BECAUSE ONCE THE RUST GETS STARTED, YOU KNOW IT'S HARD TO STOP. AND AFTER INSTALLING THE SUPPLIED MOUNTING TABS WE

CAN SECURE THE FENDER FLARE TO THE TRUCK

USING THEM AND SOME FACTORY HARDWARE.

LOOKS PRETTY GOOD!

AND NOW THAT WE FINISHED UP THE BACK, THE STEPS FOR THE FRONT ARE ESSENTIALLY THE SAME, AND WE'LL START OFF BY WIPING DOWN THE PAINT WITH WAX AND GREASE REMOVER. THESE BUSHWACKER POCKET STYLE FENDER FLARES ADD A HALF INCH OF COVERAGE. AND FOR OUR TRUCK THAT'S PERFECT WITH THE WHEEL AND TIRE SIZE THAT WE CHOSE. AND IN SOME STATES IT'S LEGALLY REQUIRED TO HAVE FULL TIRE COVERAGE.

NOW THEY COME IN THIS MATTE BLACK FINISH THAT FADE AND CHALK RESISTANT, BUT IF YOU WANT TO PAINT IT A BODY COLOR, THAT'S AS SIMPLE AS HITTING IT WITH A RED SCUFF PAD AND THEY'RE READY TO SHOOT. IF YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR OWN WIPER BLADES, YOU CAN INSTALL THESE FLARES WITH NO SWEAT. HERE'S A TIP, DON'T PULL THE ENTIRE BACKING OFF THE TAPE UNTIL YOU'VE GOT IT WHERE YOU WANT IT. ONCE YOU'VE GOT IT IN PLACE, PULL IT OFF, STICK IT ON. WELL THERE YOU GO AND IN LESS THAN AN HOUR YOU CAN DRAMATICALLY CHANGE THE LOOKS OF YOUR TRUCK AND ADD A LITTLE PROTECTION. AND THE COOL THING IS YOU DON'T HAVE TO DRILL ANY HOLES IN YOUR TRUCK. LOOKS REALLY GOOD!
