THAT'S BECAUSE MOST OF THE TIME WE'RE USING THEM IN AN ALUMINUM CYLINDER HEAD AND WE ALL KNOW THAT STEEL AND ALUMINUM DON'T MIX, ESPECIALLY ON THREADS. DUE TO THE NATURAL ELECTROLYSIS DETERIORATION, OR CORROSION OF ALUMINUM, WITHOUT ANTISEIZE THE TWO WILL FORM A BOND.

WHEN YOU GO TO PULL OUT THE METAL STUD OR SPARK PLUG, THE THREADS WILL COME RIGHT OUT OF THE ALUMINUM BECAUSE IT'S SOFTER.
