(NARRATOR)>> TODAY ON DETROIT MUSCLE WE REVISIT SOME OF THE GREAT BUILDS THAT THE GUYS HAVE DONE OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS.
(MARC)>> HEY EVERYBODY, WELCOME TO DETROIT MUSCLE. TODAY WE'RE GONNA BE DOING SOMETHING A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENTLY. WE'RE GONNA BE LOOKING AT SOME OF THE PROJECT CARS THAT WE'VE BEEN DOING FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS.
(TOMMY)>> NOW IT'S BEEN BETTER THAN 10 OF THOSE THINGS, AND I HAVE TO SAY IT'S A WHOLE LOT OF WORK BUT IT'S A WHOLE LOT OF FUN, AND AS THEY SAY, YOU KNOW IF YOU ENJOY YOUR JOB YOU'LL NEVER WORK A DAY IN YOUR LIFE. THE FIRST CAR THAT WE'RE GONNA HIT ON IS OUR 1972 CHEVY CHEVELLE. NOW WHEN WE GOT THIS THING IT HAD BEEN SITTING AROUND FOR QUITE A WHILE AND IT'S CAME A LONG WAYS. NOW IT'S PRETTY OBVIOUS THAT WE'VE STILL GOT A BIT MORE WORK TO DO BEFORE IT'S READY TO HIT THE ROAD, BUT IT'S ALL GOOD.
WE FOUND THIS OLD CHEVY IN A HAY BARN IN RURAL TENNESSEE. IT HAD BEEN IN THERE FOR ABOUT 20 YEARS OR SO WHEN WE FIRST LAID EYES ON IT.
BUT WE KNEW AT FIRST GLANCE THAT SHE HAD A LOT OF POTENTIAL. SO WE DRAGGED HER OUT OF THERE AND GOT HER LOADED UP TO PULL BACK TO THE SHOP. THEN THE REAL FUN BEGAN. TEARING IT APART AND CLEANING IT OUT. OH YEAH, JACKPOT! SOME JUMPER CABLES AND AN ANTIQUE QUILT. THAT'LL MAKE MARC A PRETTY NICE CHRISTMAS PRESENT.
(MARC)>> NOW IT'S TIME TO MOVE INTO THAT INTERIOR AND GET IT GUTTED.
(TOMMY)>> THAT'S THEM GOOD ONES THERE, THE ONES EVERYBODY WANTS.
(MARC)>> WE GOT THE BODY OFF THE FRAME AND TOOK IT TO BLAST FROM THE PAST TO GET STRIPPED, WHERE THEY ALSO POWDER COATED THE FRAME, WHICH WE TOOK BACK TO THE SHOP. WE GOT A NEW FLOOR PUT IN IT AND ALSO DRESSED UP THAT FRAME WITH A WHOLE BUNCH OF NEW SUSPENSION PARTS. THEN WE REBUILT AND RECOVER THE SEATS, AND MEASURED OUT FOR OUR SHINY NEW EMBLEMS. THEN CAME THE REAL FUN, HOURS AND HOURS OF BODY WORK PREPPED IT FOR A CUSTOM BLUE PAINT JOB COURTESY OF TOMMY. THEN WE WERE READY TO PLUG IN THE 1,000 HORSEPOWER SMALL BLOCK THAT ENGINE POWER BUILT FOR US. ON TO THE INTERIOR, INCLUDING A NEW DASH AND GAUGES, AND THAT'S WHERE SHE IS RIGHT NOW. THE NEXT PROJECT WE WANT TO TALK ABOUT, WELL IT'S NOT AS FANCY AND NOT AS FAST AS THAT CHEVELLE'S GONNA BE, BUT IT SURE IS A LOT OF FUN AND IT'S A 1986 IROCZ. THIS WAS A TRUE CHILD OF THE '80'S WITH A TUNED PORT 305 AND THOSE AWESOME TTOPS. WE PUT ON OUR MULLET WIGS AND BACKED HER ONTO THE DYNO TO SEE WHAT KIND OF POWER THAT 305 WAS LAYING DOWN.
(TOMMY)>> IT'S RAINING AWESOMENESS BACK THERE.
(MARC)>> TURNS OUT SHE WAS A REAL GROUND POUNDER PUTTING DOWN A VICIOUS 151 HORSEPOWER.
(TOMMY)>> WELL THAT WASN'T GONNA CUT IT. SO THE OLD 305 HAD TO GO. WE PLUCKED HER OUT OF THE OLD ENGINE BAY AND SET IT TO THE SIDE. THEN WE FOUND A STOCK 350 SHORT BLOCK AND STARTED PULLING IT APART TO MAKE ROOM FOR SOME GO FAST GOODIES. THAT INCLUDED SOME TRICK FLOW ALUMINUM HEADS AND A CAM.
AND ALL KINDS OF OTHER STUFF TO MAKE POWER.
THEN WE PLOPPED IT INTO THE FRONT OF THAT CAMARO, AND JUST FOR FUN PLUGGED IN A HOLLEY SNIPER NITROUS KIT AND HEADED BACK DOWN TO THE DYNO. WE MANAGED TO PRETTY MUCH DOUBLE THE POWER SHE PUT OUT AT JUST SHY OF 300, BUT THEN IT WAS TIME FOR THAT OLD NASTY INTERIOR, AND BOY WAS IT BAD.
(MARC)>> AND OF COURSE THE SEATS, WELL THEY NEED SOME HELP TOO.
(TOMMY)>> HEY, THAT'S WHERE I LEFT MY DOG FOOD. [ dog barking ]
(TOMMY)>> GROSS!
(MARC)>> WE GOT THE PARTS WE WERE GONNA REUSE CLEANED UP AND DYED. THEN STARTED PUTTING NEW PIECES IN COURTESY OF YEAR ONE.
ONCE IT WAS DONE SHE LOOKED LIKE A BRAND NEW INTERIOR. THEN IT WAS TIME TO ADDRESS THE SUSPENSION ON THE OLD GIRL WITH SOME MINOR UPGRADES. THAT STILL LEFT THE FUNKY FADED PAINT, WHICH REALLY NEEDED SOME HELP. SO WE BROUGHT IN PAINT RESTORATION EXPERT CHRIS JOHNSON WITH PRO CORRECTIONS AND HE SHOWED US WHAT HE COULD DO.
(TOMMY)>> TAKE A LOOK AT THAT SHINE, SON!
DO IT!
[ engine revving ]
(TOMMY)>> MAN I SURE AM GLAD THEM TATTOOS WASHED OFF, WELL ONE OF THEM.
(MARC)>> YOU KNOW WE DON'T JUST BUILD BOWTIES AROUND HERE. WE'VE GOT SOME OTHER STUFF UP OUR SLEEVES. SO Y'ALL COME BACK AND CHECK IT OUT.
(NARRATOR)>> COMING UP MORE AWESOME BUILDS AND PAYOFFS FROM THE DETROIT MUSCLE SHOP.
(MARC)>> HEY FOLKS, WELCOME BACK. NOW WHEN WE BUILD THESE CARS, TYPICALLY WE LIKE TO STAY IN A PRETTY NARROW LANE. ALONG THE LINES OF WHAT YOU WOULD CONSIDER AN ICONIC MUSCLE CAR, LIKE THIS '69 CHARGER.
(TOMMY)>> BUT EVERY NOW AND THEN WE WANT TO STEP OUTSIDE THE BOX IF YOU WILL AND BUILD SOMETHING THAT'S KIND OF NOT THE NORM, OR AS MY DIRECTOR/PRODUCER WOULD SAY, A LITTLE DIFFERENT.
( )>> OH YEAH GIRL! YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT OUR 1972 MERCURY MARQUIS BROUGHAM. UMM, UMM, AND YOU AIN'T GONNA WANT US TO GO BECAUSE WHEN WE DO SO DOES THE PARTY BABY.
(MARC)>> THE CENTER PIECES OF THIS PROJECT WAS A 557 CUBIC INCH FORD BIG BLOCK. [ engine revving ]
(MIKE)>> 1,080 ON POWER, 1,119 POUND FEET!
(TOMMY)>> WELL THAT OUGHT TO BE PLENTY ENOUGH TO PUSH THAT BIG WHITE CAR DOWN THE ROAD. SO WE SNUCK DOWN THERE AND SNATCHED THAT BIG OLE MOTOR UP, DROPPED IT INTO THE MERC. LOOKS REAL NICE! THEN WE HAD TO ALTER THE FUEL SYSTEM TO HANDLE THAT THIRSTY GIRL, AS WELL AS OPENING UP THE EXHAUST TO THREE INCH TUBES FROM BORLA. [ welder crackling ]
(TOMMY)>> TO HANDLE ALL THAT WE SWAPPED IN A CURRIE NINE INCH REAR. [ drill spinning ]
(MARC)>> THEN TO ADD SOME PERSONALITY TO OUR BOAT WE GOT OUR HANDS ON A COMPLETE AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM FROM SUMMIT RACING, AND GOT THEM INSTALLED FRONT AND BACK. [ air bags hissing ]
(MARC)>> ANOTHER MOD WE HAD TO DO IS FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET OUR HOOD SHUT OVER THAT EXTRA LARGE AIR CLEANER. SO WE MADE A HOLE.
SO YOU THINK A BIG OLE CAR LIKE THIS WOULD BE KINDA SLOW RIGHT.
(SMO)>> I MEAN MY GRANNY'S CAR WAS.
(MARC)>> OH WAS IT LIKE THIS?
(SMO)>> IT WAS KINDA LIKE THIS. [ engine revving ]
(SMO)>> WOO!
WHOA!
(MARC)>> WAS IT LIKE THAT?
(SMO)>> SHE HAD A LIGHTER FOOT THAN YOU DO.
(MARC)>> BUT THE REAL QUESTION WAS JUST HOW NIMBLE WAS THIS BIG BOAT? ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT.
NOT SO NIMBLE, BUT SHE'S GOT IT WHERE IT COUNTS. [ engine revving ]
(MARC)>> WELL THAT WAS A LOT OF FUN, AND IF OUTSIDE THE BOX IS WHAT WE WERE AFTER I THINK WE ACCOMPLISHED IT. IN FACT, I DON'T EVEN THINK THERE'S A BOX BIG ENOUGH TO FIT THAT CAR IN.
(TOMMY)>> YEAH I THINK YOU'RE RIGHT. NOW IN THE BEGINNING OF THAT OLD CAR I WAS A LITTLE BIT SKEPTICAL AND I KNOW I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT WAS, BUT THAT THING TURNED OUT TO BE A WHOLE LOT OF FUN.
(MARC)>> ABSOLUTELY!
(TOMMY)>> GAS, OIL, AND OTHER THINGS CAN DRIP ONTO YOUR GARAGE FLOOR. THAT'S USUALLY A PAINT TO CLEAN UP, NOT TO MENTION THAT IT CAN SEEP IN AND STAIN YOUR CONCRETE, BUT YOU PROTECT IT WITH QUESTMARK PREMIUM EPOXY GARAGE FLOOR COATING KITS. THE KIT COMES WITH A TWO COAT POLYMER SYSTEM, WHICH IS EASY TO INSTALL, AND IT COMES WITH EVERYTHING NEEDED TO GET IT APPLIED, INCLUDING THE TOOLS AND INSTRUCTIONS. MULTIPLE COLOR OPTIONS ALLOW YOU TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR FLOOR. NOT ONLY DOES IT CREATE A GREAT LOOKING AND HIGHLY DURABLE SURFACE, BUT IT ALSO MAKES CLEANING UP THAT GUNKY STUFF OUT OF YOUR SHOP FLOOR A LOT EASIER.
(NARRATOR)>> AFTER THE BREAK, A COUPLE OF LATE MODEL MONSTERS!
(MARC)>> HEY WELCOME BACK. NOW A LITTLE BIT EARLIER WE MADE MENTION OF THIS '69 DODGE CHARGER HERE BEHIND US, AND WE'VE BEEN WORKING ON IT FOR A WHILE, BUT WE ACTUALLY HAVEN'T MADE IT VERY FAR ALONG IN THE BUILD. THIS IS GONNA BE ONE OF OUR BIG BUILDS COMING UP HERE REAL SOON, AND WE'VE GOT BIG PLANS FOR IT. SO YOU CAN GET USED TO SEEING A LOT MORE OF THIS.
(TOMMY)>> NOW WE DON'T JUST WORK ON OLD CARS AROUND HERE. WE'VE ACTUALLY WORKED ON SOME MODERN STUFF, AND WE PARTNERED WITH POWERSTOP ON A COUPLE OF THEM, AND ONE OF THEM WAS A LATE MODEL MOPAR. NOW WE THREW A WHOLE LOT OF POWER AT THAT THING AND A WHOLE BUNCH OF OTHER GOODIES, AND WHENEVER WE GOT TO TAKE THAT THING TO THE TRACK, WELL YOU COULD SAY WE GOT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME. WE STARTED WITH A BONE STOCK 2010 DODGE CHALLENGER SRT EIGHT, WHICH HAD BEEN THE TOP OF THE HEAP AT ONE TIME, BUT AFTER THE BIRTH OF THE HELLCAT SHE WAS LOOKING A LITTLE SLOW. ENGINE POWER WORKED UP A 426 INCH HEMI FOR US WITH ALL THE STRONG COMPONENTS WE WERE GONNA NEED TO HANDLE TONS OF BOOST. WE UPGRADED THE SUSPENSION PARTS, INCLUDING COIL OVERS AND SWAY BARS. THE REAR END GOT A MAJOR OVERHAUL, SWITCHING TO AN INDEPENDENT NINE INCH.
(MARC)>> OF COURSE WE PLUGGED IN SOME POWERSTOP ROTORS AND TRACK DAY PADS, AND THEN IT WAS TIME FOR THAT BIG, BAD TWIN TURBO KIT FROM HELLION. [ engine revving ]
(MARC)>> DBR HIGH PERFORMANCE TUNED IT FOR US, GIVING US 728 TO THE WHEELS.
THEN IT WAS OVER TO BOB BONDURANT'S RACING SCHOOL WHERE HE SHOWED US WHAT A REAL DRIVER CAN DO.
[ engine revving ]
(TOMMY)>> I GUESS HE LIKED THE CAR SINCE HE SIGNED IT FOR US.
(BOB)>> THIS CAR REALLY HAULS ASS.
(TOMMY)>> THEN HE HELPED US TAKE CARE OF WHAT WAS LEFT OF THE REAR TIRES. [ tires screeching ]
(TOMMY)>> NEXT UP WAS A 2017 MUSTANG GT, AND WE GOT HELP BUILDING THE SUSPENSION FROM PRO DRIFTER VAUGHN GITTIN JUNIOR. WE UPGRADED TO SOME POWERSTOP ROTORS AND TRACK DAY PADS. THEN BEEFIER DRIVETRAIN COMPONENTS.
A CENTRIFUGAL SUPERCHARGER WOULD MAKE THE POWER, WHICH WE WOULD HOLD WITH A CARBON FIBER DRIVESHAFT. WE ADDED SOME MAGNAFLOW EXHAUST THAT HAD SOME FANCY CARBON FIBER TIPS. [ engine revving ]
(TOMMY)>> THEN IT WAS TIME TO DYNO TUNE THAT PEACH, SEE WHAT SHE WOULD MAKE.
(MARC)>> 685, 550. I THINK WE'LL JUST CALL IT GOOD THERE, WHAT DO YOU SAY? SINCE THIS DOUBLES AS A TRACK CAR WE INSTALLED A ROLL BAR ALONG WITH SOME RACING SEATS FROM FORD PERFORMANCE. OF COURSE YOU'VE GOT TO HAVE HARNESSES. ON THE EXTERIOR RTR SUPPLIED ALL THE COMPONENTS WE NEED TO MAKE THIS THING LOOK THE PART, AND THEN IT WAS TIME TO PUT THIS PONY THROUGH ITS PACES. [ tires screeching ]
(MARC)>> WE PUT VAUGHN GITTIN JUNIOR BEHIND THE WHEEL AND LET HIM DO WHAT HE DOES, GO FAST, USUALLY SIDEWAYS.
[ engine revving ]
(TOMMY)>> AND HE WROTE ON THIS CAR TOO.
(MARC)>> WELL THAT MUSTANG TURNED OUT TO BE A BARREL OF FUN ONCE WE GOT IT DONE, AND ACTUALLY NOT LONG AFTER THAT I GOT SOME DRIFTING LESSONS IN THAT VERY CAR FROM VAUGHN.
(TOMMY)>> WELL I REALLY APPRECIATE YOU PUTTING FORTH SO MUCH EFFORT. YOU KNOW, DRIVING IN A CIRCLE FOR BETTER THAN 45 MINUTES, AND MAKING IT SO THAT VAUGHN JUST ABOUT TOSSED HIS COOKIES, AND THAT'S KIND OF THE REASON I'M ALWAYS ASKING YOU FOR THE KEYS.
(MARC)>> WELL YOU CAN BELIEVE ME WHEN I TELL YOU IT'S A LOT HARDER THAN IT LOOKS.
(MARC)>> IN 1940 PACKARD PUT AN A/C SYSTEM ON ONE OF THEIR CARS, AND SINCE THEN A/C HAS BECOME A LOT MORE POPULAR, AND IN THE PAST 20 YEARS ALMOST ALL THE CARS THAT HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED HAVE BEEN EQUIPPED WITH A/C FROM THE FACTORY. WELL TODAY WE'RE GONNA LOOK AT SOME OF THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF A/C COMPRESSORS, AND WE'RE GONNA TALK ABOUT WHAT THEY DO. THE COMPRESSOR IS WHAT PUMPS THE REFRIGERANT THROUGH THE SYSTEM. IT TAKES A LOW PRESSURE GAS AND IT TURNS IT INTO A HIGH PRESSURE HOT GAS, AND SENDS IT TO THE CONDENSER. THIS PARTICULAR COMPRESSOR IS CALLED AN RV TWO, AND IT'S FOUND ON CHRYSLER VEHICLES STARTING IN 1961. THIS THING IS SUPER HEAVY AND IT'S MADE OF CAST IRON, AND IT'S GOT A VTWO DESIGN. IF YOU'LL NOTICE IT LOOKS A LITTLE BIT LIKE A HARLEY ENGINE. THIS THING'LL ROB ABOUT 12 TO 15 HORSEPOWER. SO IT'S NOT REALLY GOOD FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE APPLICATIONS. THE NEXT ONE WE'RE GONNA TALK ABOUT IS THE YORK AND TECUMSEH STYLE. THIS IS ACTUALLY A YORK. IT HAS AN ALUMINUM CASE, AND THE TECUMSEH HAS A CAST IRON CASE, AND THAT'S THE MAIN DIFFERENCE. OTHER THAN THAT IT'S A VERY SIMILAR DESIGN. IT'S A TWO CYLINDER INLINE RECIPROCAL DESIGN, AND THESE COMPRESSORS WERE ACTUALLY USED FROM 1958 UP THROUGH THE '80'S. YOU CAN FIND THEM ON MANY DOMESTIC MANUFACTURERS, ESPECIALLY FORD AND AMC. THESE THINGS ARE EASY TO CONVERT TO AN AIR COMPRESSOR. SO YOU'LL SEE A LOT OF OFF ROAD GUYS WITH THESE. THE NEXT COMPRESSOR WE'RE GONNA TALK ABOUT IS THE FRIGIDAIRE ASIX, AND A LOT OF YOU GUYS MAY RECOGNIZE THIS BECAUSE THIS THING WAS INSTALLED ON MILLIONS OF GM VEHICLES OVER THE YEARS. THEY ACTUALLY USED IT FOR MORE THAN 25 YEARS. BECAUSE OF ITS AXIAL DESIGN WITH A SWASH PLATE YOU CAN REVERSE THE ROTATION AND IT DOESN'T CARE. THESE THINGS CAN ALSO BE CONVERTED TO AN AIR PUMP, BUT THE PROBLEM WITH THESE IS THEY ARE VERY, VERY HEAVY, AND ONCE THEY WEAR OUT THEY'RE KIND OF A PAIN TO REBUILD. GM REPLACED THAT OLD, HEAVY ASIX WITH THIS RFOUR, AND A LOT OF PEOPLE CALL THIS A PANCAKE STYLE BECAUSE OF ITS COMPACT DESIGN. IT'S A RADIAL PISTON PUMP. SO THE PISTONS ARE ON THE OUTSIDE, ALMOST LIKE AN AIRPLANE ENGINE. NOW THESE THINGS TEND TO LEAK WHERE THE ORINGS ARE ALONG THE BACK AND THE FRONT HERE. GM USED THESE FROM AROUND 1975 UNTIL THEY WENT TO THE NEW STYLE COMPRESSORS IN THE MID '90'S. WE'VE GOT TWO EXAMPLES OF THAT LATE MODEL COMPRESSOR THAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. THIS IS THE GM STYLE, AND THIS IS THE SANDEN STYLE. THIS IS AN AXIAL PISTON PUMP WITH A WOBBLE PLATE. SO IT'S GOT A LONG LIFE. IT'S VERY COMMON FOR A SWAP BECAUSE IT'S GOT UNIVERSAL MOUNTING POINTS. YOU CAN GET VBELT OR A RIBBED BELT DESIGN. I HOPE Y'ALL LEARNED SOMETHING, WE'LL BE RIGHT BACK.
(TOMMY)>> HEY Y'ALL, THE NEXT FEW CARS THAT WE'RE GONNA TOUCH ON AREN'T REALLY THE CARS THAT WE BROUGHT IN AND DID A WHOLE BUNCH OF RESTORATION WORK TO. IT'S THE ONES THAT BROUGHT IN AND DID A FEW MODIFICATIONS TO IT, OR AS MY DIRECTOR/PRODUCER WOULD SAY, WE HOOKED THEM UP WITH SOME OF THEM UPGRADES.
(MARC)>> YEAH, AND WE HAD A LOT OF FUN WITH THEM, AND WE THINK YOU PROBABLY DID TOO. SO CHECK THEM OUT. WE TOOK THIS SHINY EFI SYSTEM AND PLUGGED IT INTO AN OLD, TIRED CARBURETED NOVA, WHICH BREATHED SOME NEW LIFE INTO IT, AND WE ALSO DID SOME BOLT ON UPGRADES ON A FIRST GEN MUSTANG, WHICH TURNED OUT PRETTY COOL.
(TOMMY)>> ANOTHER LATE MODEL PROJECT WE DID WAS TAKING A 2016 SS CAMARO AND STRAPPING AN EDELBROCK EFORCE SUPERCHARGER ON TOP ALONG WITH ALL THE SUPPORTING UPGRADES LIKE HEADERS AND EXHAUST. [ engine revving ]
(TOMMY)>> THIS ONE MADE 578 TO THE WHEELS. THEN WE ADDRESSED THE SUSPENSION, SANDED IT DOWN, AND MIXED UP SOME PAINT.
(MARC)>> TOMMY WORKED HIS PAINT MAGIC AND LAID DOWN A MULTILAYERED PAINT SCHEME.
AT THE END IT TURNED OUT LOOKING LIKE A MILLION BUCKS, AND SINCE THIS BUILD WAS TO CELEBRATE CRAGARS 50TH ANNIVERSARY IT GOT A SET OF THEIR MODERN MUSCLE WHEELS.
(TOMMY)>> AND THEN IT WAS ON TO THE FAST AND FANCIFUL LIFE OF ONE CADILLAC CTSV. WHEN WE GOT UNDER THE HOOD OF THIS THING WE DISCOVERED SOMEBODY HAD PULLED A HOT SWAP AND PLUGGED A DAG GUM TRUCK MOTOR INTO IT. SO WE GRABBED A SIX LITER LS FROM THE WAREHOUSE AND PULLED THE STOCK TOP END OFF OF IT, REPLACING IT WITH A TRICK FLOW SETUP. WE TAPPED MAGNAFLOW FOR THE EXHAUST AND ADDED SOME EBC PADS AND ROTORS.
(MARC)>> THEN SOME PAINT SHENANIGANS DARKENED THE LENSES...
...AND BLACKED OUT THE BLING ON THE FRONT END. SHE WENT FROM HIGH CLASS TO BADASS.
(TOMMY)>> WELL THAT PRETTY MUCH DOES IT FOR TODAY. WE'VE SHOWN YOU GUYS WHAT WE'VE BEEN TINKERING ON FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS. YEAH, WE HAVEN'T FINISHED ALL OF THEM, LIKE THIS BIG CHEVELLE, BUT I'LL TELL YOU IT'S GONNA BE A HOOT TO DRIVE BECAUSE IT'S 1,000 HORSEPOWER. SPEAKING OF A CAR THAT I'M READY TO DRIVE, THIS OLD '69 CHARGER IS IT BECAUSE I'VE BEEN WANTING TO DRIVE AND BUILD ONE OF THESE THINGS SINCE I WAS A LITTLE RUNT.
(MARC)>> WELL YOU COULD FIT A COUPLE OF LITTLE RUNTS IN THE BACK OF THIS CADILLAC CTSV, AND NOT ONLY THAT, IT'S GOT THE LUXURY AND IT'LL HAUL THE MAIL. SO I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO DRIVING THAT THING. AND NOT ONLY ARE WE GONNA BE BUILDING THIS CHARGER, WE'VE GOT A COUPLE OF OTHER COOL BUILDS UP OUR SLEEVE. SO YOU'RE GONNA WANNA COME BACK AND SEE US. RECENTLY WE MADE A TRIP TO ATLANTA FOR GRIDLIFE'S DRIFTING EVENT THEY HAVE DOWN THERE, WHICH WAS A WHOLE LOT OF FUN TO WATCH. IF YOU'RE GONNA BE DOING SOMETHING THAT EXTREME YOU NEED THE RIGHT CAR TO DO IT, AND UNDER THE COVER HERE WE'VE GOT ONE. IT'S A CAR THAT WE BUILT ON OUR SHOW, DETROIT MUSCLE. IT'S CALLED THE POWERSTOP ULTIMATE MUSTANG.
(TOMMY)>> NOW OBVIOUSLY WITH A CAR THIS NICE YOU WANT TO PROTECT IT FROM THE ELEMENTS. SO WE'VE GOT THIS FORM FIT CUSTOM COVER FROM COVERCRAFT. NOW THIS CAR HAS GOT SOME UPGRADED PANELS ON IT. SO IT'S KIND OF AN ODD SHAPE, BUT IF YOU NOTICE, THIS COVER STILL FITS PERFECTLY.
(MARC)>> THIS IS THEIR FORM FIT FABRIC, WHICH PROVIDES A BODY HUGGING FIT AND A SUPER SOFT INSIDE TO PAMPER YOUR PAINT.
